HarperOne If God is Love: Rediscovering Grace in an Ungracious World

If God is love, why are so many Christians fearful and why do so many Church leaders sound hateful? Why does religion often create more pain than healing? What would it take for our world to become more gracious? Believing that God will save every person, Pastors Gulley and Mulholland explore the implications of this belief and its power to change every area of life. If God is Love presents a new vision for our personal, religious, and corporate lives, exploring what our world would be like if we based our existence on the foundational truth that God loves every person. For too long, the Christian tradition has been steeped in negativity, exclusion, and judgment. Gulley and Mulholland usher us into a new era - an age where grace and love are allowed to reign.

This book was God inspired and sent to me. I stumbled upon it, and it has articulated what I have always believed. What a blessing!!!I recommend this book to all seekers who are looking for The Almighty in churches, whose primary function seems to be in the business of building businesses and making money.Bless the authors, for the giving me this great gift. One of the best books I have read in a long time. As a lover of recent books by Anne Lamott, Barbara Brown Taylor, and others, I found this book to bring a freshness to the message of grace that is much needed. For me, even as a pastor who agrees with most everything they read, I found myself challenged and delighted as they spoke truths to me in ways I had never before been able to bring to light. I have told all of my friends, "Run, do not walk, to the nearest book store or computer."

This man is an apostate of the faith. He does not believe the Word of God but believes what he wants to believe. I believe this book is extremely dangerous to believers but, especially, to the unsaved. He does not believe in Satan, nor does he believe in eternal punishment in hell. C.S. Lewis said, "if there was one doctrine he could change in the Word of God, he would take away the doctrine of hell being eternal punishment." But he knew it was real and anyone who rightly divides the Word knows that too. This book fits it nicely with the Apostasy of the Church in the latter days. Dangerous! Stay away!
