A Beginning Advantage A Reason For Handwriting: Transition--Student Worktext, Grades 2-3

Each week you'll practice letters and groups of letters from a different Scripture verse. Then you'll write the entire verse on practice paper. At the end of each week you'll pick a Scripture Border Sheet from the back of your workbook, write the verse in your best handwriting, and use your creative talents to color or decorate it. You can share God's Word by giving people your finished Scripture Border Sheets. Paperback.

Just a little every day until the student can write an entire sentence or two. There is no question of where to start formation as there are printed on the lessons the dots where the letter should begin. Then, the lessons are based on Bible verses- what a great way to get God's Word into the mind of the student. A great idea!!!

This book was recommended to me by a friend that had previously used it.
I love the fact that each day my son is practicing writing a portion of a scripture verse. The final day (day 5), he copies the entire verse onto a page in the back, colors it, and we laminate it for a gift.
He getting handwriting practice, scripture memorization, and also working to bless someone else with a gift. What could be better?

My 7-year-old daughter is really enjoying her handwriting book this year. She is really inspired to do her best work on the weekly border sheets, and works on coloring them carefully after school time is over. I didn't know she could write so neatly!

I love this easy to follow guide to teaching kids great handwriting skills! and honestly, I think this is one of their favorite subjects to do. they love the workbooks, and having goals for the end of the week, to bless someone with a nice scripture, handwritten by them nice and neatly! :) I even laminate them and give it to their person of choice! Quite the gift.

We are thoroughly enjoying the transition book. It gives my daughter the opportunity to learn something new with the cursive writting , and still keep up with her manuscript.

We have tried countless writing programs & this is by far the very best! 3 of my children have transitioned into cursive with NO TEARS! They do enough writing in other subjects & this is the perfect balance of Scripture, practice & it's colorful & fun for the student! Not overwhelming.HUGE BLESSING!

I like this a LOT - we've used it for two of our children so far. You get lots of practice in both manuscript and cursive; well worth the money for kids in that "transition" phase!

Wonderful handwriting workbook for my 2nd grader; divides the year up - half in printing and half in cursive practice with small daily lessons. Fun coloring border sheets included in the back!

This workbook is concise, very nice overall. I like the style of both the manuscript and cursive letters taught. The border pages have very nice artwork on them. If the child really needs help on letter formation you may need to supplement with additional materials.

We love all of the books in this curriculum! We used this for our first and second born and we plan on using them for all our subsequent kids. The scripture is such a valuable part of the writing and it reinforces it in their lives as we write and then post things around the home or mail them to others. We are sad that our eldest is beginning the last book in the series. We don't know how we will begin our day next year when she's "too old" for them. I highly recommend these to anyone who places a high value on scripture to enrich their kids lives-- the handwriting is also very simple and not flowery-- it's cursive that we all use as adults and not some strange writing that one only sees in handwriting text books.
