Random House, IncHope, Help, and Healing For Eating Disorders
Core to this book is an approach Dr. Gregory Jantz developed and wholeheartedly believes in. He calls it the whole-person approach. Throughout the book, you'll be looking at the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual aspects of your life and how eating disorders - anorexia, bulimia, and overeating - relate to each area. Each chapter also contains questions and activities to lead you through progressive steps to healing. This resource should not replace counseling and may be most effective when accompanied with counseling.

This was a great alternative to the pricey 'for profit' program Dr. Jantz runs in Washington state. Be ready to work! I filled an entire spiral notebook in a matter of weeks. This is not a quick read, but more of a workbook format. I really had to face some tough issues, and deep seated heart attitudes, as well as lies I've been retelling myself for decades. The downside? By the end, Dr. Jantz recommends all these formulations to be purchased through his for profit company. This was enough to cost the book two stars for me. Otherwise? Really pretty good. I have also read and liked Bulimia: A Guide To Recovery and My Name Is Caroline, but they are more spiritual than Christian. Hope this helps. Let's recover, without recovery becoming our god.
