If 5 is the highest rating, that's exactly what this book deserves. I first read this book about nine years ago, when my youngest son was first diagnosed with ADD. It's now nearly worn out! The antedoctal stories are well written and right on, helping parents and teachers alike understand the various nuances of ADD/ADHD. I felt like I'd FINALLY found someone who knew what we were going through! The suggestions for dealing with the numerous difficulties ADD/ADHD children must deal with daily were very helpful. I loved this book so much that I purchased at least one each August for my son's new teacher. And you could always tell the teacher(s) who read the book, and those who hadn't. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anybody who has a child with ADD/ADHD. It is extremely supportive and practical.

I am mom to an 8-year-old daughter who was diagnosed with ADHD two years ago. Homeschooling her means that she is with me 24/7. At one point, I thought I was going to lose my mind and looked for the highest-rated Christian book about the subject that I could find, which was this book. It is WONDERFUL. It has so much information, much of which I had never read anywhere else. The authors are great at dissecting the different parts of ADHD and giving real-life stories to back them up. It is most of all a book about having hope for these kids, because God made them the way they are and has a great plan for them! Highly recommend this book, it is worth every penny and then some!

Excellent book! I applaud these authors whom I've respected for year. This is book well written, easy to follow and understand. It gives wonderful scenarios of real kids and their families and helps you identify with them and learn how to adopt methods and strategies to face the challenge!! I highly recommend this book to parents, teachers (general ed and special ed alike) and school administrators.

My daughter was in 2nd grade when she was diagnosed with ADD. I searched and read many books trying to get some help with how to handle all the issues we faced. This is the best book I've read. It is very practical and gives many useful tools to incorporate into daily life. I have recommended it to many others and they have found it helpful as well. My daughter is in 6th grade now and she is such a blessing. Great book....great authors.
