I've been very pleased to use this as a gentle introduction to history for my K and 1st grade homeschoolers. I love that it starts by explaining that it's all God's Story, and then goes on from there. Introduces the concept of a timeline, and moves at just the right pace. Kids love the coloring book that goes with it, and I'm grateful for the teachers guide with just enough helpful hints, without complicating things. The kids now say History is their favorite subject!

This biblically based history book is wonderful. It gives a general skimming of history from creation, forward. My children really enjoyed history every day when we used this book. They were able to retain the information well for their ages (5 years old) when we used it. The coloring book that can be used with this is great for reinforcement. While older children may also enjoy this book, I recommend this for use in 1st grade.

This book came in a set for my first grade homeschooling. Great so far. And looking ahead it covers alot of great Christian history like Luther and Calvin. Wish it was bigger. But you could always add to each lesson. Easy to read and follow. Great colorful pictures. God centered. Starts out with God's creation. Christ's account. Christ building His church. Christ reforming His church. And so on... I'm excited for this book. Highly recommended. My third grader enjoys the lessons also. I always have both of them listen in on each others Bible study and history.

I absolutely love this history curriculum. My 5 year old looks forward to her lesson every day. She also loves to color in the coloring book that goes with the curriculum! I am very pleased with this curriculum and I like that the lessons come direct from the bible as well.

I love the way this book is written and how it keeps God the central focus throughout each story. The stories are simply written so they are easy for younger ones to understand but are still full of facts and information. My daughter also loves the coloring book that goes with it.
