William Carey Library Pub The Christian and the Old Testament

Is the Old Testament still relevant today? In Walter Kaiser's The Christian and the Old Testament you will discover the unifying theme of both Old and New Testaments centered in God's promise to Abraham found in Genesis 12. Kaiser shows that despite the variety of literature, subjects and personalities, there is an overall structure and plan for the sixty-six books of the Scriptural canon.

Of all the 'OT theologies' that I have read for a masters in the OT, The Christian and the the Old Testament, is the best at pinpointing the theme of the entire Scriptures, showing how the OT and the Abrahamic Promise is the key to understanding all of Scripture. Dr. Kaiser has given the church a valuable resource in understanding God's redemptiveplan for the church and for His covenant people, Israel. I couldn't recommend this book enough !!!!
