This movie is definitely not worth your time - at times it mocks Christianity, has mediocre acting, fluctuating storyline that rotates from serious to futile that discredits the whole message the producers are trying to display. My husband and I couldn't even finish it...

I loved this movie. I had seen it before when I found the DVD was on sale. I purchased 2 copies, one for myself & one as a gift. It is a great script with the message being God's forgiveness is for everyone who seeks Him, no matter their past. This is a Christian movie for today's audience dealing with real-world problems. When I watched it, I finally found forgiveness for myself. This movie will make a great witnessing tool for none-believers.
The message is delivered with drama and perfect touch of humor. The script is great, the acting is wonderful and great direction. I am happy to share this movie with others.

The story was good but the quality of the sound was poor and the dubbing did not match the movement ot the characters mouth.

Hidden Secrets is a very realistic movie which might give some Christians a kidney punch to the gut; please excuse the unpleasant metaphor lol. I think this was a film which took a very risky approach. I'm certain some might feel such an approach is offensive and I respect them for taking the risk considering the ending of the film. Granted this unique direction wasn't perfectly executed but it was certainly quite refreshing too. What do I mean by this? Let's just say this movie was definitely unorthodox from the usual format.
Hidden Secrets begins on a stormy night with a man holding a gun to his head, when the screen fades to black, and the phone rings... Seconds later, it is revealed a man named Chris is dead. Chris' funeral brings the attention of several including an old group of friends/associates; some who meet for the first time. When the friends meet together, the men of the group decide they want to repair the roof of Chris' sister's housing project. During this stay a variety of characters collide including an over zealous woman, a half Jewish Atheist, an uncertain sense of direction, and a love triangle. There were two controversial plot elements in this story I thought made the movie very interesting; only one I can tell to avoid spoilage.
Although there were some things which could have been better like giving more air time to Reginald VelJohnson (who most people know as Carl from Family Matters) and maybe extending the movie a little more, I thought this was a pretty good film. Throughout the movie scripture is spoken of, though sometimes not in the right contextual use but that is apart of the plot point lol, and I really liked the overall moral lesson in this film of not being so judgmental and Pharisaic. A lot of the times we Christians talk about avoiding sinfulness and encouraging others the same, but the idea of avoiding legalism and Pharisaism isn't as common of a thought in Christian circles which I cannot help but support in promoting. The other very interesting, yet controversial plot point I cannot reveal exactly what it was in particular but let's just say it is one which some might find it offensive, but I cannot help feeling it is shocking yet a great reminder of how available and wonderful God's grace for all of us. Any sinner who repents of their sin and puts their faith and allegiance in Jesus Christ is forgiven through the blood of Christ, no matter how terrible of a sin one may think... Such a great message and realistically presented.

I find myself very critical of "Christian" movies, because I know not everyone holds the same standards as I do, this movie was very well done. I think it addressed some very difficult issues. It doesn't paint an entire picture of Christianity, but other then the Bible what can right? It's a movie about the redemption and the power of the Blood. It's an adult movie, with very grown up theme's such as bitterness, homosexuality, abortion, fornication but it's done very tactfully with redemption being the point not making the sin look glamorous in any way. I do recomend this to friends!!

I watched this movie without knowing what this movie was about at the beginning. It turned out to be the one of best Christian movies I have seen. What people in the movie struggled had been mine too and I had questioned the similar questions as the people in the movie once before. I felt I was one of them, once was lost and hopeless. Even after I became a christian, I struggled to understand His love and His forgiveness for so many years. But I am glad that He has set me free completely just as the end in the movie. I cried many times when I watched this movie knowing that I am crying personal at all.

I loved this movie! It really was one of the best quality Christian movies I've seen. It was filled with laughter and yet contained many strong moral themes. It was unapologetically Christian but was not "in your face." It was a movie about the pain and regret of sin, about loyalty and friendship, and mostly about the redemption of God. The story line was well developed and the characters felt real. I think the production quality was great for this price. I'd definitely recommend this movie to family and friends (and already have)!

I really enjoyed this movie, it really shows all aspects of faith. From confession, forgiveness, and showing love for others. It also gives the message that GOD loves us right where we are. You will laugh and you will cry, but I really enjoyed this movie.

This was an excellent movie. I grew up watching John Schneider and didn't know what to expect but I was very suprised. I definately recommend this to everyone. It was a very good Christian movie and those are hard to find. It was also very realistic in reference to relationships and dealt with some very hot topics very tactfully. It had a good mixture of love, anger, comedy, forgiveness etc. and I'm looking forward to more movies like this!

This movie was very good to watch. The hidden secrets that each person had and had carried with them for so long made this movie intriguing. What each person realized was that God's grace and forgiveness is much larger than their hidden secret or sin.

I am in awe of this movie. I found it a few months back on netflix instant q, it was labeled as "a Christian version of the big chill" well never seeing any interest in the secular movies I passed up download this one. Then with insomnia one night, about 1 am I decided hey what do i have to loose. Well I have recommended this to EVERYONE I KNOW !!! WE LOVE this movie! I can't tell you how great David White is and my teen daughter loves this also. Great for all ( wouldn't recommend to younger ones due to mature situations we adults can understand and relate to that are discussed about how God forgives those sins we try to keep with us.) Amazing for mature teens & adults would NOT want to see anyone under 14ish even then needs to be mature and watched with parents. This is awesome and needs t be publicized as a ministry tool.

Love this movie. "Hidden Secrets" brings to the forefront of what everyone faces or experiences mostly as adults or older teens. The seriousness of the topics are tempered with great humor, which my husband loves. Watch it several times, and you'll be aware of some subtle lines that are worthy of conversation. There is also a Discussion Guide you can download for this movie. David A. R. White is so talented that we look for his movies, whether he is acting, producing, directing. We also show this to company, like other reviewers.

If you're a serious Christian you will be very disappointed with this movie. It presents a very unbalanced message that God is merely love and we shouldn't ever talk about things like sin and hell. The only Christian who mentions such things is cast in such a ridiculous light that the bias of the producers is clear. The gospel message is very weak and they turn a song about someone distant from God into a song about an old boyfriend and girlfriend who have grown distant. In the end I can only give it one and a half stars. If you're looking for some kind of "Christian" soap opera you might like it though.
