Michelle5 Stars Out Of 5August 20, 2007MichelleThis is absolutely the best music appreciation/piano curriculum for young children!!! My children love it, I've recommended it to many friends who love it, and I'm now teaching from it (I'm a music teacher) Even 7-8-year-olds like it (though they move through the books more quickly) Definitely get the deluxe kit to start the series, though, and even if you're a music teacher the teacher's guide is helpful for lesson sequencing and supplemental activities. It's more expensive that way but you really can't do the series without the CDs, flash cards, stuffed animals, etc, and trust me that the cost is COMPLETELY worth it! You will love teaching your children music with this if you are a homeschooling parent with basic piano skills.

Penny4Thought5 Stars Out Of 5Good Curriculum for Starting Kids in Musical LearningMarch 19, 2019Penny4ThoughtQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Music for Little Mozarts was recommended to me by our church pianist, who also gives private piano lessons in her home using some of this curriculum. I purchased this Music Lesson Book 1 along with the Music Workbook 1 and Music Discovery Book to begin teaching piano/music to our two preschool children. Our kids find this curriculum engaging with the Beethoven Bear/Mozart Mouse story line running throughout, & they both (boy & girl) seem excited to learn the basic musical concepts taught.
This Lesson Book has very nice colored pictures and engaging activities. Each "lesson"/concept has a small story about Beethoven Bear &/or Mozart mouse, which helps to keep the kids' attention. Lessons can probably be altered to be as long or short as you need them to be. The Lesson Book & Workbook seem to pair nicely together, though the Lesson Book is more descript; the Workbook is more for practicing/reaffirming the concepts taught in the Lesson Book.
Good value and pleased with the purchase so far.
