An extraordinary book. Written three hundred years ago it's relevant today. "Updated" edition is straightforward and easy to read. Wish I had this book years ago.

This book was everything the description said it would be. This is definitely a book written by a women who knew and loved Jesus. Her focus on praying and meditating on Scripture is a message needed by the western church who is so in love with big producions on Sunday mornings.

Written for a child to grasp, but doesn't insult your intelligence. Very short easy read chapters. To me it is a very complimentary companion book to "The Christian Secret to a Happy Life" by Hannah W Smith. However, as we all know a personal relationship with God requires personal communion with God, so just reading the book won't bring results. Only communion will.
