Colin E. Gunton was, during the later part of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st Century, a breath of fresh theological air in a sometimes tepid atmosphere. The final published work of this British theologian, "Act and Being"(Wm.B. Eerdmans Publishing Co.), ties up, in an extremely tight package, his thoughts on the philosophical theology of the Divine attributes. This is must reading for any serious theological reader as is Gunton's 1992 Brampton Lectures (Cambridge University Press). if you are not acquainted with Gunton, you are in for a treat!!
