The description of this product clearly states that it is a sewing project. It also states that it is for supplemental use. This is the second time I am using it, however I did alter it quite a bit. Instead of using it to sew the human body and its organs, we simply used the templates to cut out paper organs and then attached them to a life size outline of each of my children. We used library books to study each part before including it on the body as this book does not give any information as to the function of the organs. You could simply draw your own organs instead of using the templates from the book (they are just simply outlines with no details.) If you're totally into sewing then go for it! If not, I would recommend another resource for teaching organ placement.

Disappointing. I guess it would be okay if I wanted to sew a lot. The description did not add that you sew and make the whole thing I was under the impression it was like a cardboard cut out type of thing.

As stated in the book's description, it is a visual aid in helping to understand the body's design and organ placement. Granted, making the visual is a wonderfully fun and educational activity, however it should be emphasized that the book IS NOT a stand-alone Health or Science curriculum in and of itself.

This was not what I expected at all. There is very little information about the body itself, it's mostly just for making the replica of the body but no science information to teach a class with this.
