This the the third study that we have used at our church from The Life Guide Bible Study books and once again it is a blessing to all who have participated in the program. Not only are you directed to study what God's Word says about this valuable subject, but you are given ways to put this knowledge to use in both your personal and corporate life. I highly recommend this study for any Christian who seriously wants to become like Jesus, and for every church who wants to be a loving welcoming church to outsiders!

    Mission, not hospitality

The author is very focused on mission and social justice. The study is much more pertinent to urban faith communities than to rural, and its thrust is not about welcoming people into our space as God's hosts and representatives, but about doing mission. Mission is important, but social justice does not equal hospitality. Also, in lesson 7 there is an oblique heretical suggestion that the feeding of the 5000 was not Jesus Christ's miraculous multiplication of the food, but a sharing of the crowd's resources. Redundant and disappointing.
