I bought this book because I have been called to minister to emotionally wounded pastors. After searching the Internet, this book stood out as one that would give me greater insight into the unique struggles pastors face. It has exceeded my expectations. In addition, it appears to be an incredibly powerful resource for pastors to work through with an accountability partner or peer group, to help them, as the back cover puts it, “withstand common pressures and flourish in the ministry God has called them to.” I pray that every pastor who reads this review will have the courage and humility to use this book (or some other resource) to better equip themselves for ministry challenges and to help them reach their full potential. Every flock needs an emotionally healthy, Spirit-led shepherd. Failure is not an option!
