Was a little boring but very informative. I will recommend this to others. Wish there were more titles available.

This book is an excellent book to get for yourself or anyone you know who is struggling with God , who He is, his faithfulness or whether or not to believe. I purchased this for a friend who has just gotten saved and is struggling with what he is learning in the word, and what he is being told in college. Josh McDowell does an excellent job presenting the information with the documentation of a legal brief. I would definitely recommend it.

A very good history of the bible and background of Christianity from a biblical standpoint. He does an excellent job of describing his background and influences as they result in his coming to know God. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to learn more or is looking for more evidences of the Cross.

It's a very intense teaching and very excellent but it wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a teaching on the integrity of the Word to share with a new christian and it isn't a book my friend could relate to

Difficult to use. The emphasis is on scholarly. May pick it up in the future but otherwise it will sit on my shelf.

I had read this book and found it to be very good and so I bought it for my own collection and with someone in mind to convince them that Jesus is God.

I lost my first copy of this book that I think I purchased in the 1970s. I've been burdened lately to be prepared to better defend my faith. So much confusion out there with movies and books like the De Vinci Code. So much junk and people are accepting it as plausible. This is a good resource for examining the evidence. I also recommend C. S. Lewis's book Surprised by Joy.

One of the best books on apologetics. Proves that Christianity is not a "blind faith" belief system.

I was already familiar with the book, I got it for a friend that is agnostic (more realistically in denial). The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is I really didn't like the updating of the book. Josh has obviously evolved in his beliefs and knowledge of Christiandom in 35 years. I would prefer that someone that is in the same state as he was when the book was written, be able to better identify with it in its original state. (Hope that's not too confusing). Overall, a great book though. I wise addition to anyones library.

If Lee Strobel would have only read this first he would have saved himself a lot of trouble in producing a similar work of lesser quality. Not to say that his isn't good, but it pales in comparison to the works of Josh McDowel.
