As he has done for many years now, Michael Card writes about what he knows best - Jesus; this time through the words of the Gospel of Luke. The dear doctor is presented in Michael's down-home, folky, at times Celtic style. It's good to hear new music from this anointed brother, and yet, it sounds a lot like the music he's always done. He does include his daughter on one cut -- she's been blessed with his musical genes. But mostly, it's the same Michael Card we've heard for a long time. Playing it safe is not necessarily a bad thing, but I'd like to hear something more adventurous from him for his next album.
