R. A. Torrey, noted evangelist and companion of D.L. Moody in ministry, collected dozens of scripture passages to assist laymen in preparing and delivering evangelistic material. Grouped into broad topics, such as Dealing with Skeptics, The Promise of Salvation, and Special Texts for Special People, Torrey supplies ammunition to engage the enemy and rescue lost souls. Covering issues of self-righteousness, assurance and becoming a mature believer, among others, many questions will be answered before they are asked. The author ends his introduction with these wise words: "...prepare yourself, and then allow God to use you in the glorious ministry of reconciliation."

The call to witness is compelling and the steps are clear and concise. The references for scripture are plentiful and cover virtually any questions that may come up. However, I am spending time looking all of the references up in my NASB. I know there are many who still prefer the KJV, but I have found that a modern translation is easier for most people to understand.
