IVP Academic Esther: Tyndale Old Testament Commentary [TOTC]

Featuring new content and translation, Reid's analysis of Esther is designed to help pastors, students, and laypeople understand what the text says and what it means for us today. Her section-by-section commentary considers historical context; canonical, literary, and textual issues; and theology and purpose. 168 Pages. Softcover from InterVarsity.

The Tyndale series of commentaries takes each Bible book section by section, drawing out its main themes. It comments on individual verses and problems of interpretation. Additional notes give a fuller discussion of particular difficulties, showing the true meaning of the text and its message.

Debra Reid is Director of Open Learning at Spurgeons's College, London.

I am using this as I prepare a Bible study for women. It was very useful in many ways - there are some things in it that I would not use for my ladies - but I found them interesting.
