In addition to being accessible to everyone, Alec Motyer's Tyndale Commentary on Isaiah, is also quite simply, one of the best resources available. In the introduction, Motyer details, through vignette style paragraphs, a basic topical and thematic description of each section on the book and then proceeds to discuss Isaiah's thought in both its historical and theological context. Furthermore, as every commentator on Isaiah does, Motyer examines the books literary structure and its authorship and generally follows conservative scholar O.T. Allis in his conclusions. Finally, the commentary contains a standard verse-by-verse commentary and is accompanied by short vignette's covering Isaiah 7.14 (virgin), 38.21-22 (the "intrusive" text), and 44.28 (Cyrus' prediction).

Review 2 for Isaiah: Tyndale Old Testament Commentary [TOTC]
Motyer is a respected Evangelical scholar, author and editor. He writes well. He has completed two separate commentaries on Isaiah. This one is reportedly less detailed than the other. Although it is somewhat brief, it is so insightful, that everyone studying Isaiah should consult it. It is a reliable and accessible guide. It is one of the top two commentaries I’ve seen on this OT book (Oswalt’s NICOT is the other). I highly recommend it.
