FBI behavioral psychologist Daniel Clark is well known among his friends and peers for his argument that religion is one of society's greatest antagonists. Twenty minutes later, Daniel is resuscitated, and is haunted by those twenty missing minutes of his life.It soon becomes painfully clear that the only way to stop Eve is to recover those missing minutes by dying . . . again. What isn't nearly as clear is just how many times he will have to die to discover the truth, not only about Eve, but about himself. Daniel will have to face haunting realities about demon possession in the modern world, and reevaluate his prejudice against religion, in order to stop Eve.

A page-turner that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go! It is a spiritual/intellectual thriller that has you re-reading some parts to make sure you read it right. It also might have you checking the back seat of your car, if you drive at night. Two thumbs up!

I throughly enjoyed this book. Ted Dekker always keeps me on the edge of my seat with his writing. You just never know what to expect from this master of suspense! While I am a huge fan of his Circle books, i enjoy his stand alone works just as much. I can hardly wait for his next work to hit the market!

I had never read Ted Dekker's books before and was eager to sit down with one. Well, it did keep me reading, but it also really creeped me out. I wasn't prepared for the supernatural events. This book was a little too intense for my taste.

Mr. Dekker, once again you shook my brain! this book is awesome! i am a huge fan and this book just reinforces why i love your stories so much. with the newspaper article to make it seem realistic is awesome! keep em' coming.:) if you like a gripping book that grabs you and don't let go, this is a book for you.

What a fantastic book. I have read numerous Dekker books and this is one of my favorites. Hard to put down. Strong storyline, and characters. He is so good at writing, it is like you are right there, totally absorbed by the book, like you have stepped into another world. I always close the last pages of Ted's books with satisfaction and a sigh of contentment knowing I have not wasted precious my time and money.
