I bought this DVD set for my kids since my son likes the kiddy educational videos and my daughter was not speaking or signing. I signed with my son as a baby and he talked early but stopped talking after a move across the country. Many people suggested it was because he knew he could get by just signing (though he pretty much quit that too) so I decided not to sign with my daughter as a baby, but after she got to an age she should be saying at least some things and wasn’t I started introducing a few basic signs but only got back a few and it didn’t help the frustration.
The kids LOVE watching they shows, my oldest who hasn’t been signing much in years will tell me the ones he knows and helps his sister with the signs. The host clearly explains how to make the sign and it’s easy to see, the kids in the video having fun and signing really catch the kids at home’s attention and the songs are catchy!

I was introduced to Signing Time about 7 years ago, when my youngest was about 6 months old. We got these DVDs and since then I've had 2 more girls. All my girls have LOVED these DVDs - even from 3 months old! They are so entertaining & fun. But not only that - they all started signing at around 10 months & started talking just after one. I truly believe that these DVDs helped them talk sooner because they begin to associate objects & feelings with signs and words. I always recommend these DVDs to new moms. Mine are all worn out, but LOVE THEM!
