Flexible and adaptable, Character Concepts for Preschoolers provides 36 weeks of lesson-schedules for preschoolers. Moving through 12 character qualities taught in 3-week periods, children are given scriptures to help them learn obedience, patience, honesty, gratefulness, respectfulness, responsibility, initiative, diligence, kindness, self-control, contentment, and deference.

Units feature two suggested schedules, one character/Bible based, and one Bible/academic based. Arranged by topic, the suggested days/time spent are given underneath (e.g. "character-once a week, suggested Monday"). Notes reference the necessary materials, with instructions on what pages to read or a short activity idea (e.g. "Find a job that needs to be done. Surprise everyone and do it."). Units include headings for character, Bible memory & character, Bible doctrine, personal application, ABCs, writing practice, crafts, family trips, a preschool adventure album, preschool project and a recipe. The academic schedule lists ideas for skills, science/nature, and history. The appendix provides coloring pages and a full-color set of art plates and associated unit Bible scripture. 191 pages, softcover.
