Contributing his 3rd volume to the acclaimed NICNT internationally influential scholar Gordon D. Fee presents The First and Second Letters to the Thessalonians [NICNT].
Readers familiar with the NICNT and of Fee, will need no introductions. This commentary, much in Fee's typical style, is a fresh approach and lucid, scholarly, and very readable exposition of these earliest of Pauline letters. Fee's historical mastery of the 1st century and of text criticism shine through as does his brilliance in handling secondary literature. Released in 2009, this commentary replaces Leon Morris' work on the Thessalonian Epistles, which is now available as an independent commentary from Eerdmans.

Gordon Fee makes a passage come alive. As you read his commentary you know that he has a clear grasp on what he is talking about. With each passage he goes over how it relates to the book as a whole the passages on both sides of it. He covers the grammer and translation questions and makes most of it understandable and intersting. He interacts with other commentators tells you what they think and then skillfully tells you what he thinks. This commentary along with I. H. Marshall are the ones I turn to the most.
