Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. Natural Law and the Two Kingdoms: A Study in the Development of Reformed Social Thought

Conventional scholarship holds that the theology and social ethics of the Reformed tradition stand at odds with concepts of natural law and the two kingdoms.

But David VanDrunen in Natural Law and the Two Kingdoms: A Study in the Development of Reformed Social Thought challenges that status quo through his careful, thoroughgoing exploration of the development of Reformed social thought from the Reformation to the present.

As VanDrunen is attempting to trace the development of a theological idea through the centuries, the work is somewhat repetitive. But I feel as though he has researched the topic adequately enough and it will be useful certainly for Reformed and Lutheran students and give insight to other Christians as well.
