This series was way better than I expected, it made me greatly appreciate the fact that we have the Holy Spirit and the printed Bible. It opened my eyes to the biblical world. My favorite part of the whole series is that it showed the New Testament church, and how they became a community. It made me crave that intimacy. Totally worth reading, I couldn't put it down and I don't usually read(not joking).Just read it! The covers are just as beautiful as the story.

What a fantastic series of books. Written beautifully and seamlessly, I am so disappointed that it is over! I loved the development of the characters from one book to the next, it made me wait for the next book in the series with anticipation! I appreciated the authentic historical recounts that made the time of the early Christian church seem to come alive, and helped me understand so much more of what these amazing Biblical characters must have experienced. These books have deepened my faith! I and my daughters (12 and 14) have loved all three books! A must read!

All 3 volumes put the emotions and feelings from the time surrounding Jesus and his death and resurrection. Amazing stories in themselves. Touching, emotional and believable. I felt like I new the characters personally and felt everything they felt during their trials. These books truly left me with the knowledge and emotions of the true believers. Made me wish I lived in those times.
