Ignatius Press RSV Ignatius Bible - Paperback

This major modern translation of the Catholic Bible has retained the traditional beauty and integrity of standard English and hasn't accepted the feminist demands for "inclusive language" (the same language Rome rejected in the new Catechism). Acclaimed for decades as the clearest, most accurate and most beautiful modern translation of the Bible in English. Apocrypha Contains: 1 & 2 Esdras; Tobit; Judith; additions to Esther; Wisdom of Solomon; Sirach; Baruch; Letters of Jeremiah; Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Young Men; Susanna; Bel and the Dragon; The Prayer of Manasseh; 1 & 2 Macabees

The bible is terrific and we use it daily. Also, your prompt service and the cost were VERY GOOD.

I enjoy the RSV-CE. I actually own a bonded leather edition from Scepter, but the inside is identical to the paperback edition from Ignatius. The RSV-CE is the perfect blend of accuracy, beauty, and readability one can want in a Bible. Kudos to publishers who keep the RSV-CE in print for future generations!

I understand that this is an excellent translation, but the print is a little too small. It is either bound to tight or the page is to small and the words arepulling down into the center so that one has to pull the book open to read the words in the center.
