Barbour Publishing Prairie Brides

Each of these novellas is set on the open plains when saying "I do" also most often meant committing to a life of hard work against the backbreaking soil. But love has the ability to shine over any circumstance and light the bride's eyes with sparkles of hope.

I enjoy reading about simpler, wholesome times where honor, strength of character and honesty is highlighted. The characters created by these authors reveal no comprimising their Christian values and yet remain human and true-to-life, just like the choices we all must make daily.

I enjoyed being able to complete a little novel in a couple of hours. It was interesting to know about the different life 100+ years ago. I particularly enjoyed the novel by JoAnn Grote--the characters were well-developed and there was a mystery about the "bride" that captivated your attention. I wished I could have known people like that in real life! And the spiritual aspect was carefully woven into each story without it sounding preachy. It's fun to read stories that all have good endings!

Loved all the stories! I didn't realize I had bought the book before,so now I have two of them. I love this era in time. Parts will make you laugh, cry, and make you feel like you are right there in the stories, living with the characters.

This book was very interesting to read, I could hardly put it down, I like books like this where there are more than just 1 story, having 4 stories is great.

I have to agree with Sara. The first story was not really my thing but The Barefoot Bride, what a story and the last one definitely touched me too. Wonderful job by all the authors and at those prices you cannot go wrong. Looking forward to purchasing many more novellas. Highly recommended.

A very light read. However with four seperate stories it was quite nice to be finished a story in one sitting. Good bedtime or holiday reading.

This book is wonderful. The first story was not exactly my type. The second was amazing. The heroine was nearly unbelievable. The second was great and the last was almost my favorite.
