Great book!

This book was very encouraging, and practical. I liked the format..interviews with various women from all different backgrounds, who are going through the grief process after losing their spouse. It helped me to understand what was "normal" in the grieving process. I also purchased one to send to a friend.

I did not find this book until close to the 1st anniversary of my husband's death and how I wish I had found it sooner. I have now purchased additional copies for other women who face the death of their husband. Today am placing an order for more copies as I feel this is the best "advice" I can give to any other woman facing this grief journey. Miriam Neff not only walked this, but she has been gifted to share in such a way as to lead us gently through it too!

Being a recent (ugh) widow, I have experienced alot of perplexing emotions as well as noticing the changes in relationships that I thought I knew so well. Often these have both come to painful places. This book by Miriam Neff has answered so many questions for me and given me hope that there is life that will be meaningful beyond this.

I am very pleased with this book. It even exceeded my expectations. This is certainly a must read for those ladies who have recently lost their spouses. I enjoy the approach to all the issues facing a widow. Well written and very hard to put down. It is so encouraging to read a book that has been written by an author who has been there.

Being a fairly new widow (how I hate that word), I have been looking for something to get me through this difficult time. I found this book and have started reading it. I have also skimmed through it and find it is just what I need. Miriam sounds so much like me, even though my husband's death was unexpected. I recommend it highly.

I found this book encouraging in many ways. However, I felt that some of the things recommended needed quite a bit of money and that's one thing I don't have. I felt many emotions were straight on and it comforted me to know I wasn't alone. I recommend this book/
