Customer Reviews for BMG Davey and Goliath's Snowboard Christmas DVD

BMG Davey and Goliath's Snowboard Christmas DVD

* Since he's taken up snowboarding, Davey loves riding the half-pipe. But when he's blindsided by trouble, his faithful canine companion Goliath helps him see that freestyling on the slope---or in life---may not be all it's cracked up to be. An animated holiday treat with important lessons about respecting others! Dove approved. 45 minutes.

This DVD shows Christianity, Judaism, and Islam as equal. It never expresses that you need Christ. It seems to express that all religions will lead you to "peace" and "happiness."

The production quality in this video very good, surpassing the older Davey and Goliath episodes. However, the heart and soul from the older ones is missing in this one, and in its place is modern political correctness. Davey makes friends with a Jewish boy and Muslim girl. Both are shown in very positive light, but Davey is shown in a negative light. The Muslim girl in particular is shown to be very forgiving, obedient to authority, and intelligent. The episode does mention the Christ in Christmas, but He is almost treated as an aside. If anything, I believe that this episode would make a child more interested in Islam than Christianity.
