First off--we had to use the subtitles on this video cause we had a hard time hearing over the music. Wanted to let you know so you are prepared. Sound was awful.

I was kind of worried when i purchased this due to the fact everyone kept saying it was "mormon" so i was leary of the content. Let me tell you right off...there was no mention of belief's or anything about mormonism in this video.

Actually the message of living within your means is a very GOOD message. I did not find anything wrong with the movie besides the sound, well acting was not the best on all the characters but ...that is understandable. I did feel that it was a little "out of touch" with today. Due to the fact they could have made a point to emphasize how people would go in debt for the newest or trendest phones or electronic device--especially the kids. I think it would have had more effect. And when the family goes to live with his brother--yes they lose pretty much everything--the sister-in-law is a little to unbelievable. But beyond those few things the MESSAGE is GREAT.

I do recommend this movie. It does have sound advice --about not buying what you can't afford.

Stand Strong had a message that is badly needed in our "have it all" society. It causes one to count the cost, both monetary and relational, of pursuing worldly wealth. The acting wasn't stellar, but a good movie, nonetheless.

Stand Strong gives hope and comfort to those who have seen their fortunes and income fall. Godly values and actions in a lost world. This would make a great gift for those who know a family going through lean times or internal strife.
