Perfect for families that already own the Teaching Textbooks Teaching Textbooks Math 4 Extra Workbook & Answer Key, this set includes four CD-ROMs that contain step-by-step audiovisual solutions to each homework and test problem. Topics covered include operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, simple geometry concepts, units of measure, and percents. A digital gradebook grades answers as soon as they are entered and calculates percentages for each assignment. Though this CD-ROM set may technically be used without the workbook, students will then have to write out each problem; won't be able to work away from the computer; and won't receive the written summaries available in the textbook. I have triplets doing this program, and they love it! They love the immediate feedback and are very motivated as they can easily keep tract of their own progress. Some lessons have been a little challenging, but they don't give up. This has made math less "boring" and they are open to learning. My older children have used TT, for a few years all the way through Algebra. We are very pleased to have found this. I love that you can have them re-do a lesson or problem and have mutiple kids using it. The time it saves me in grading is WONDERFUL!

We have recommended Teaching Textbooks to other home school families for years now. As veteran homeschoolers, we have tried many different math programs. This is the best program out there because of its immediate feedback and understandable explanations for every math problem. Its fun approach to learning new arithmetic material is refreshing and a wonderful motivator. The "video game" reinforcement in the bonus point rounds is great. Math is no longer a struggle in our house. It has actually become a reward to do extra lessons! Now, how many math programs can boast that?!

Teacher's dream! The lectures are are understandable and repeatable. The problems and quizzes are self administered and also repeatable. I check the gradebook with my password and I can see if my son has viewed solutions for problems missed. If I am unsatisfied with his performance on a level, I can delete the scores and he can do it again. We also purchased the workbook so he can have practice writing the problems and solutions for kinesthetic reinforcement. My son and I are excited rather than overwhelmed with math!
