My kids really wanted to try this curriculum because it looked so fun....I liked that it looked easy for me...built in grading & gradebook, SWEET!....unfortunately, I think it's too easy for them....I had my first grader doing math 3...keep in mind she has only had Singapore K math....she got 100% on the first 3 lessons....easy! But my bigger concern is she was learning how to get the right answer but not learning the big picture math concepts we saw with Singapore.....Singapore's though, I'm not going to lie....I found it frustrating because I have 3 grades & one of mine has learning issues, Singapore was super hard for her...but at this point I felt like a bad Mommy to let me kids do TT....I wanted to like it because I thought it would make my life easy....and it would. But we're in California & this is way below the expectations I had for it. I don't want to keep up with public school (and actually my children have only been in private & now home)...but this would have put them at a huge disadvantage to continue until college....not because of state schools, because I don't even care if my children want higher education or not...but because Singapore will create larger capacity in them as thinkers for the rest of their life. I'm putting all 3 TT on ebay & ordering Singapore....Last year I was learning from it & enjoyed it expanding my capacity to think creatively & out of the box. I want kids who think big & out of the box too...that's what this world needs. TT is like the math I learned as a kid that's just to get the right answer, not to learn to think differently. My kids are a little sad...they will miss their burbing & growling buddies, but I just can't have a clear conscience letting them use this out of date method after I've been exposed to Singapore. It's WAY inferior to what we're used to....bye bye to the easy life mama....hello working hard to equip kids for the rest of their lives!

I bought this for my first grade (advanced) and third grade sons. It used to be a daily struggle to get my third grader to do his work, he struggled with having to write his answer. Now he does math first thing and some days asks to do an extra lesson. He does it all on the computer do he doesn't have to write anything. I didn't realize this was an option so I bought an additional separate workbook for my first grader that I wouldn't have needed.

The only complaint I would have is this program seems to be a little below the grade it advertises for. The easy solution is to go to the next level. It would have been nice to have known this ahead of time to avoid returns or the dissappointment of the choice of grade levels. The program itself is fabulous.

My 3rd grader just hated math. She was doing the Horizon Math and was taking 1 to 2 hours to do 1 lesson. Math was an extremely frustrating experience everyday. I was very discouraged. She and I would often fight about math. Now she loves her lessons. Math is the first thing she asks to do every morning. I am so grateful for Teaching Textbooks! This program is just what we needed!

I ordered this for my 7 year old daughter because I was having trouble keeping up with her math lessons and I didn't like what we were using before. She was so excited to get to do her math on the computer, she jumped in and did the first five lessons the first day. Since the student does the lesson entirely on the computer, it frees up mom to work with other kids. We now have almost every level of Teaching Textbooks and love them all.

This math product is fun and engaging for my children and when this is happening they are learning. If they are wanting to go too fast with the cd, I use the book to slow them down with the promise that they will get back to the fun cd soon.

So very easy to use--math is not my favorite subject, so being able to just pop a disc into the computer and let my son work by himself is a blessing. It gives me some time to focus on schoolwork with my little girls. And the gradebook is so easy to use. I will be purchasing more levels of this product in the future!

My 8 year old son loves being able to do his math on the computer. He has a hard time focusing on school work and doing some of his work on the computer really helps. He loves playing the Bonus Rounds. I love them because they drill him on his facts over and over again. He always asks to play them several times. You will not be disappointed with this cirriculum.

This is our first year using Teaching Textbooks. We have Teaching Textbooks 3. I was amazed at the simplicity of this program and the CD's are AWESOME!! My daughter can do her work on the computer (using the included CD's) and it will automatically grade her work! I think the BEST part about Teaching Textbooks is that if you get stuck on a problem, ANY PROBLEM, they will work you through it step by step via the CD's. No other math program offers this. If the price tag bothers you, just think, it's only $9.99/month if you divide the total price by 12. I am sold on this program and will be purchasing the ENTIRE Teaching Textbooks series!! Thank you Teaching Textbooks!
