This is a wonderful art curriculum for kindergarten. We chose this because my daughter requested "to do more art." I needed something straight forward and easy to follow as I am not a crafty person. It has not disappointed. It has cultivated an excitement for art in my daughter.
There are five stories divided into four units with nine art projects for each unit. We have ended up buying some things, but never too expensive (e.g., beans, macaroni, yeast). All has been well worth it for the excitement it has generated. You are encouraged to be resourceful around the house and use what you have (that is an extra lesson thrown in there). Each project is rated on a 1-4 difficulty and time consumption scale which is helpful in planning which project to complete with the schedule. We've spent several hours on some projects. I do not believe you would "have to" spend that time. I think it demonstrates how much fun and enjoyment we were having completing (or continuing to play with) the project. All the projects are worth repeating.
Overall, we are very pleased with this selection. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun kindergarten art curriculum that cultivates a love of making art.
