Customer Reviews for Harvest House Publishers The Power of a Praying Kid

Harvest House Publishers The Power of a Praying Kid

This book is a fun and "kid-friendly" approach to prayer for a very special audience. Written with young hearts in mind, this short, easy-to-read book for 7 to 12 year olds helps children learn to talk to God in a way that is meaningful and relational. Interactive call-outs, sample prayers, and places to record their own words to God are sprinkled throughout the pages. Moms and Dads as well as children will love the message of this book for growing-up kids...God wants to hear from them and He listens to their prayers.

I bought this for my ten year old son, who really does not enjoy reading. He read it from cover to cover. He really seemed to be encouraged by the book and would read excerpts to me as he went through it. It was a great investment! (Please note: This is a not a very long book, but it was just what my son needed.)

This product is a great way to help kids know what to pray about. It is geared for kids but can be helpful to adults with the topics that are included in the book.

I am very pleased with this book. It is easily understandable for kids with examples of specific prayers for them to pray. It would also be a great resource for parents to do with their children as a bible study.

My daughter had alot of questions about prayer so I decided to purchase this book for her. She loves it. She reads a few chapters every night. It has been an eye opener for her on how to pray and what to pray for. Great book!

This book has helped our young daughter become more assured in praying. She likes reading the prayers that are from other children. It has helped reinforce the message of how much God loves her and hearing her pray

My son absolutely loved this book and he is not much of a reader. He kept on telling me how Stromie Omartian hit it right on the nail of what he was thinking in every chapter. Great Book.

I need about 20 copies of thie book to give to my nieces and nephews. My son Nathan had a book and someone took it and never gave it back and I just had to order another copy. I reccommend that every home with children have a copy. Has helped my son in school as well as at home.

I am so glad that I purchased this book for my son Nathan. It has really help him in his walk with the Lord and it has also helped him to cope with daily life events, church, school, peers and also how to communicate with me (his mother). I feel that this book should be placed in every household with young people.

I would recommend this book. My 'almost 8' year old daughter enjoys reading it. It has helped answer some questions she has had that I was having a difficult time answering.

This proved to be a great book for my 8 year old. He really enjoys reading it and he loves to tell us the testimonies that are in the book. When he seems to be having a bad day I remind him to read Power of the Praying Kid and it seems to get him focused again.

This book is appropriate for 9 to 10 year olds but may be too advanced for 7 or 8 year olds. There are no colorful pictures to create interest for a child younger than 9 years of age. The content is excellent with examples of actual children's prayers and even includes the Plan of Salvation. However, I don't believe it will hold the interest of the average younger child.

Very good book. My 2 children, I and my husband all read through it together as a devotional at night. My children look at God in a different way, their BEST FRIEND and FATHER and now go to Him with everything and know that's what He wants and it's ALL important to God!!
