This was one of the most well-written novels I have ever read. It quickly captured my attention and continually kept me on the edge of my seat, but more importantly, it created in me more empathy and understanding towards those who are struggling with the issue of homosexuality--and any other issues that can so easily make us feel in bondage. It was a captivating book that really touched my heart, creating in me more compassion towards those who struggle with different issues and more insights about working through issues of my own. I learned and was reminded of many important things while reading Restored Hearts and thoroughly enjoyed every page of it.

Eileen Hinkle Rife gives us a gripping novel that pulls together a strong Christian culture that learns to love and cherish Tim, a man being pulled by the Holy Spirit out of homosexuality and out of the past that crippled him. Indian culture and Christian forgiveness pulse through this exciting account of a familys redemption. You might not have imagined that missionaries and Christians have problems and trials in their own lives. Rife brings them all home. She shows us the difficulties of Christian ministry at home and abroad. She lets us see first hand the trials of ministry work in India and in a family riven by the past and by their own internal difficulties. This is a work that resonates with the love of Christ and the forgiveness of the Savior of all mankind. This is a fun novel with a strong message of hope. I recommend it to everyone. If you are grievingthere is hope. If you know sinthere is forgiveness.

This Author will Rock your Socks! (and maybe your spiritual life while she's at it).so... basically Eileen Hinkle Rife has a lot more life experience, knowledge and wisdom than you and me and puts it into intriguing, thought provoking, edge-of-seat-biting, heart warming novels in this series. Pick this one up! You won't regret it!

Restored Hearts touched my heart on so many levels. Sure, we all see destructive lifestyles in those around us--we may even have some harmful habits ourselves---but if we could look on the inside, what we'd likely find are broken hearts. Someone failed us. We've been hurt. We compensate in harmful ways. Eileen Rife has taken a look on the dark side of life, and let God shine His Light on the touchy subject of homosexuality. It's fiction, yes, but it could be anyone's story, with all the complications it entails when it's someone close to us. Lovingly and expertly done. Full of hope. I know I'll forever see people through different eyes.
