Personally I normally read mysteries with a little love, but usually there is a more serious tone in the over all story. The cover and title caused me to pick this book up, and then when I read the back, I saw Thyme for Love was a romantic mystery. It surprised me to find it written with such witt...along the lines of Kinsey Malone novels. I loved the way her two main characters had a relationship with the Lord as well. Her secondary characters were well written and brought depth to the story. Even the bird, Pedro, added mischief as well as a little excitment into the novel. Well written, Ms Meyer. Book two is on my list of books to read, so I can't wait for its release.

THYME FOR LOVE by PAMELA S MEYERS is a fun, light mystery. Having never read this type of novel, I was initially confused by the casual, witty mystery. What later came to mind was Sherlock Holmes and the game Clue. Not more than a few pages later, MS. MEYERS mentioned that very thing. That's when it all clicked. Thoughts of who done it, in which room, with what, ran through my mind. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed THYME FOR LOVE, not being the genre I typically read. A true testament to how well it's written.
April Love is in need of a job, and her Aunt Kitty has just the job for her. But what she fails to tell April is her ex fiancée, Marc Thorne, works there. Now she is faced with the decision to quit a job she desperately wants or face the man who hurt her years ago.
Marc Thorne is just as surprised as his ex fiancée, April when she walks into the Rescate. It doesn't take long for old feeling to stir. But Marc has a secret he fears will douse any hopes he has of renewing their love. Convincing April they were meant to be together isn't the only obstacle he faces. When he's accused of murder, will she believe he's guilty?
The mouth watering descriptions of the food April prepares, sent my stomach rumbling. MS. MEYERS delivered countless cute lines as well as kept me guessing as to "who did it". THYME FOR LOVE was hard to put down as I attempted to figure out who the killer was.
My favorite type of novel is those involving a cowboy and a ranch, so of course Karl had me sitting on the edge of my seat, hoping he wasn't the killer. I can't wait to read the next two books in this series...And I'm hoping to see a cowboy or two.

Mix together equal parts lonely chef, hunky boss and murder. Cover and simmer over an old flame. Sprinkle with a nosy aunt and serve for a wonderfully romantic cozy mystery.
Thyme for Love by Pamela S. Meyers carries you into a world where culinary capers meet murderous intentions. When April Love finds herself face-to-face with old flame, Marc Thorne, she almost turns down her dream job. But when her soon-to-be boss is murdered, she’s drawn into helping Marc keep the business going and solving a mystery – whether she likes it or not.
Pamela S. Meyers’ use of deep point-of-view and descriptive techniques drew me into the book and didn’t let me go. The plot kept me guessing until the end while romance between April and Marc sizzled. And I loved the addition of quirky Aunt Kitty and Pedro the parrot to break up the suspense. 'Can't wait for the sequel!
This was a great winter read and would be a perfect Christmas present for the wannabe chef or mystery-lover on your list.

I'm such a mystery lover, and a romance junkie. So when I was asked if I wanted to review this book, I jumped. I can't pass up books like these. And I'm glad I didn't. Thyme for Love is wonderfully written and kept me guessing. It took every ounce of will to not jump ahead and see if I guessed right. (I guessed right, but the author threw in a nice big fat twist too I wasn't expecting!)
April is as spunky as her author--yes, I personally know and love the author, she's a dear friend--and Marc, in all his Argentinian ways, is the perfect complement to April. They're journey from passive aggressiveness toward each other to falling in love all over again was soothing play to the mystery surrounding them. I enjoyed this book, was my treat for myself on 2 Sundays after a long week of writing and working. I look forward to the next 2 books, and sort of hope there are more stores in the future.

I rarely give five star reviews, but this book deserved it.
It is an awesome book. I read the first page and was hooked. Ms. Meyers did an awesome job of incorporating Marc and April's previous relationship issues into the present. Their struggle to reconnect is apparent, as is their love for one another, but the obstacles in their way are immense. April finds it hard to trust Marc after he left her. Marc struggles to understand why April brushed him off. Misunderstandings abound. Trust, truth, time, and God help them overcome.
The "who-done-it" feel of the book kept me guessing throughout. First I thought it was this person, then that one. I'm not a very good mystery guesser, but even if you are, I think you'll like Thyme for Love. Up until the end I didn't know __________ did it. (haha, you have to read it to find out.)

Pamela S. Meyers has created a recipe for an engaging read in Thyme for Love. If you like food, you’ll find mouth-watering morsels on every page. Looking for a hunky hero? Marc Thorne to the rescue! He’s not only handsome, but also remorseful of his past desertion of April and doing his best to rekindle their failed relationship. This story flows flawlessly from suspect to suspect, romantic encounter to romantic encounter, tasty dish to tasty dish. Never a dull moment, never a wasted word. Delicious to the very end!

Thyme for Love is a romantic mystery with just the right amount of suspense.

Her Aunt set up an interview at the Rescate de Nino and April is thrilled until she sees that Marc Thorne her former fiance works there. April is determined to fulfill her dream in spite of Marc. She is offered the job on a trial basis and agrees to start the next day. However, the job isn’t exactly what she expected. Her new boss turns up dead on her first day and there are rumors spreading through the Rescate that he was murdered.
