This is an excellent book that provides both the theoretical framework and practical application in simple, somewhat repetetive fashion that enables you to understand and apply it's teachings almost immediately. It is definitely a classic from which one will reap benefits upon rereading and reapplying over a lifetime.Probably the best thing for me was that it exemplifies that healing of the individual on the deepest levels is found in the supernatuiral risen Christ and goes BEYOND psychology and philosophy but can embrace both to a degree without compromising the Biblical perspective or denying the resurrection and all it's implications. While I am not Catholic and did not agree with every comparative reference, nor necessarily all the updated insights, the core message and it's application were of immense value to me. I have experienced both personal insight and healing as a result. I have also purchased it as a gift for others.I did not give it 5 stars only because of some slight areas of disagreement and because I believe that there is a dimension of demonic assault that is not adressed that is a part of the real picture. For a complete balance I recommmend John Sanford's "A Comprehensive Guide......."Definitely a great addition to one's library and worthy of multiple reads, application and meditation.God bless.
