JC545 Stars Out Of 5Joshua, LifeChange Bible StudyFebruary 23, 2016JC54Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We are using this book in a men's study. When we started this study, I was wondering where we would go because of the bad press the most of the Old Testament gets. So many people and I was one thinks that the Old Testament does not relate to today. Boy was I wrong. Even though we are only in the 4th chapter of the book but wow, this is so useful for today's walk with God. Having read the complete Bible I always looked at most of the Old Testament as historical but walking with Joshua is so useful in your walk with God today. So far it has been a great way to understand that the Bible is still the Living Word and is and will be useful for generations to come.

Susan Peters5 Stars Out Of 5September 7, 2010Susan PetersI have been using this series for Bible studies for over 10 years. It is easy to use and well-liked in my classes. I have used them by splitting them into 30 week sessions so we can spend more time on the study.

Initially, the study feels a bit overwhelming. The whole book of Joshua is to be read--repeatedly--during the first lesson to get a feel for the whole book, to write chapter titles, to pick out main themes, etc. Then, for further study, one is encouraged to compare the whole book of Joshua to Acts and then Revelations. That makes for an intensive study indeed, going far beyond the 90 minutes that one is supposed to spend completing one lesson per week. One can concentrate upon the main questions, ignoring all the ones on the side, but for those who likes to be thorough, all the "extra" questions feel rather overwhelming for one week.
