Harvest House Publishers Love to Eat, Hate to Eat: Overcoming the Bondage of Destructive Eating Habits

After years of futile dieting, readers know there's more to weight control than what they eat. Having discovered the power that food has over their lives, counselor Elyse Fitzpatrick, author of Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety, helps them: identify destructive eating habits; surrender the desire for control; break the vicious cycle of emotional eating; develop a flexible plan suited to unique situations. God knows everything about us...where we've been and where we're going. Because He knows us so well, He can deeply transform us, giving us the contentment we long for.

I found this book to be Bible based, and the author encouraging at points when "moving forward" might seem difficult. The Lord is using it in my life, and I have already shared it with a number of people that are struggling with similar issues.

This book has been the best i've read on struggling with eating. It is like having a Christian counselor right in your home! I have never felt more encouraged and patient with breaking this bondage to food. She gets right to the heart of the matter.....which happens to be my heart and not my stomach! It's packed with scripture and tools to help you overcome this battle ! All things are possible with God!

I thought this book was very helpful. It is really meaty reading and you must commit to a long term answer rather than a quick fix. I found this book really interesting and read it in a few days.

This book was great!! The author is a really strong Christian from CA and she has seen it all. It really showed me that my body is temple of God and how I need to ask myself, "Would the Lord be happy with me if I ate this?" It has changed me for good!!

This book has a great message.... rely on God for your eating. It just says the same thing over and over again. It could have been written in about half of the pages.
