This is the second book I have found in the past fourteen years that I consider a "must have handbook for a successful marriage." Stormie's writing style makes it enjoyable, easy to read and entertaining. It is easy to find yourself feeling like you are talking to your big sister about what you can do to help your wife.

This is a great book for learning how to pray for your wife. I have been married almost eight years and have had my fair share of mess ups. I never even knew I should pray for my wife. This book even gives sample prayers which are powerful and help guide you to a true love through prayer for your wife.
I highly recommend to any marriage. God redeems and heals!

I've read a lot of marriage books. Most of them seem to beat men up for doing so many things wrong. In my case, I think I'm doing what I should be as a Christian husband and father but am looking for more in our marriage. I don't need any more 'beating up' but need to know how to pray for my wife daily.
Omartian writes in a way that is very encouraging and uplifting, even if we, as men, have blown it earlier in our marriages. Without dwelling on the past, she tells us how to pray, specifically, for our wives so they can be all that God has called them to be.
Written by a woman who seems to really understand the differences between the genders, and through the results of interviewing other women, she has the ability to target areas where wives need prayer. Using the Word of God, she not only targets these areas but tells us men HOW to pray for our wives.
It's easy to read, very practical and fun to implement. I look forward to seeing the results of lifting up my wife daily in prayer and letting God do the changing in me and my wife for His glory.

Powerful! If you are married and you love your wife you must read this book. Men...if you want an intimate relationship with your wife that starts with God read this book. There is Resurection Power in specific Prayer.

Guys. Buy this book. Read this book. Buy it for every guy you know who is married or getting married. Forget about flowers, candy, movies - whatever. Praying for your wife is the BEST way to get close to her & to deepen your relationship with her in every way. If you don't want to buy it than ask her to get it for you for your anniversary (you will already be ahead of the game before you even read it).seriously, this is not a book where the women bash the guys into submission. this is a real guide into loving your wife in prayer.

Although I personally have never used this book, I would recommend it. I have given it as a gift recently to my newly son-in-law. I have the Power of the Prayer Wife and Parent. These books are wonderful. I love the scriptures that come with the prayers, this is very powerful!

I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series because as we seek to learn and grow about the power of prayer, sometimes we don't know how to put our questions into words and Stormie addresses some of the most common issues in marriage by category and then gives us words to speak to our Lord. I refer back to mine often and I was so blessed by my husband as he read through the chapters. He took such an importance for praying over me from this book! It gave us both another tool to fight our Enemy as he tries to thwart our lives and marriage. Don't miss out on this important tool!

Hey everyone, I have been married for more than 33 years and my wife and I have been Christian for over 25 years. However, as you know every marriage goes through its fiery trials. Well our marriage was put through one its most severe test this past year and into 2009. I had been praying and asking God what I needed to do as a husband to help our marriage get untracked. It was then that one of my grown daughters who has been married for just 5 years suggested this book "The Power of a Praying Husband". She recommended it because she was going through some challenges with her husband and bought the book, "The Power of a Praying Wife." I have since purchased the book and its study guide. I have been applying it for about 2 weeks now and I have to say, that I am the one that is being changed more than my wife. This book is filled with practical things that you can do as a husband along with praying and reading your bible that really works. But be careful because its not about changing your wife as much as it is changing you into better understanding your spouse. As 1 Peter 3:7Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.NKJVI strongly recommend this book regardless of how long you have been married.

This is an excellent book to improve your way of praying. Stormie writes in such a way you understand the topics. The book was so good I wasn't able to put it down. This is the second book from Stormie that I have read. But she doesn't disappoint in the presentation of her ideas and views. I would definetly recommend. I actually purchased Power of a Praying Wife for my special love of my life.
