Educators Publishing Service Vocabulary from Classical Roots, Grade 5
A thematically organized vocabulary program based on Greek and Latin roots. Each lesson features 2 roots and 8 words derived from these roots. Words are presented with dictionary-style definitions, and all words are used in example sentences. Lists of "Familiar Words" and "Challenge Words" are provided for each root to help all students activate prior knowledge and keep advanced students on task.
Nota Benes throughout the text enliven presentation and give interesting information on word history and additional derivations. Grade 5. Softcover, 72 pages.

Excellent tool to help improve spelling, grammar, proper word usage. Easy to use and understand. not time consuming at all. Very good tool. Very affordable. Ifyou use a white board, then the book can be reused by more than one student.

Useful and engaging, an effective supplement to the language arts curriculum for my homeschooled daughter. Good SAT-type prep and has expanded her vocabulary significantly. I have used in place of standard spelling curriculum as an understanding of the roots is much more useful.

This is an excellent vocabulary book. It goes beyone spelling and definitions to examine the roots of the words then relate them with other common words the children know. It is an excellent way to learn spelling, vocabulary, and expand the children's understanding of language.
