As a 17 year old homeschool girl, I needed a book that wasn't full of advice for girls in public school (even though we homeschoolers have our own temptations as well...I am still in the world daily, in my job, for example). This book met those needs, above and beyond. It offers practical advice for how I need to conduct myself around guys, having the right self-esteem (which is not really self-esteem but "God" esteem), forgiveness...even things people tend to overlook, like hospitality and manners. After the Bible, this is really the book I go to when I need enouragement. Looking forward to reading Eric and Leslie's other books.

This is a great book for any young woman desiring to live the set apart life. Leslie Ludy is always so honest and encouraging in all of her books. She is also definitely a great role model for young women everywhere!!

I found this book very encouraging! If you want something that will challenge, yet ultimately inspire, try this one. You will not come away feeling empty! Leslie is truly on fire for Christ- and she knows how to reach the heart.

Excellent book! The only reason I did not give it all five stars is that in comparison to Leslie's other two books written directly for young women, this book is written for girls who are already Christians and who are truly seeking to serve God with all the heart, soul, mind and strength. If a new Christian (new to the entire Christian culture) or an unbeliever should pick it up, I could see them getting the wrong impression about what matters most in our walk with the Lord. However, for those that are already started in a good grounding with their faith, this book would be excellent!

While this book challenged me to look at my feminitity differently, and I am sure Leslie Ludy has great intentions and a wonderful heart she does a poor job of giving concrete explanations of what I think she wants say. While she does give a few bits of practical advice here and there it all seemed a little vague to me. I was left wanting to change how I look at my life, but not really sure how to do so practically. I will try another one of her books to see if maybe they build on one another.
