This book really taught me to let go of my past!! My church book club was amazed and extremely thankful for this book, as it helped EVERYONE of us open up and let God's unconditional love take over our lives and let go of all the 'wrong-doings' and unforgivables of our past!!! This is a MUST READ!!!

Several years ago I purchased "Broken into Beautiful" by Gwen Smith at a women's conference (probably because it was on sale for $5) and read the first couple of chapters. Her area of brokenness was different than mine, so the book made its way unread back to my bookshelves. Recently, however, my attention was brought back to this book. It's amazing how life experiences can enhance our openness to learn from someone else's trials and victories. Because of my job with a pregnancy resource center, I can relate to Gwen's personal story on a different level, but overall I am more open to seeing how she allowed the Lord to heal her broken heart. When she did, amazing things began to happen. Then her willingness to be transparent transformed her ministry into something greater than she could have ever imagined. This book truly is for any woman ready for healing or ready to help others find healing.

I actually bought this book to help my 21 year old daughter get through some difficulties she is having. But as I read it myself I find that it is also helping me with some things I had thought I put behind me. I would recommend this for anyone to read who has doubts because of past/present sins, some men would also be able to see something of themselves. Read this book, believe what it teaches, apply it to your life and become beautiful again!

Tears flowed regularly as God touched my heart through the words on each page. "Broken into Beautiful" is one of those rare books that both touches your heart and then encourages you to tear down the walls that so many of us women hide behind. Her stories made me feel like I wasn't alone in the challenges I face. Gwen's vulnerabilty and spiritual wisdom gave me the courage that I needed to face some painful memories and make a fresh start. God used Gwen and this book to remind me of His grace and mercy, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

I wasn't expecting to be choked up so much when reading this book. It really shows you God's love through these people stories. Gwen is a gifted writer!
