This is one of the best books I have ever used to bring comfort and peace to my heart in stressful situations. Each segment is short, powerful and comforting. It's right on target with the Word of God. When My sister was hospitalized hundreds of miles from me feeling stressed and lonely. I would call her and read a segment of 'The Power of Praying Through the Bible' It would calm and comfort her and bring peace to my heart as well. If I could I would give it to everyone I know.

We did 6 to 8 per study time. With everyone sharing the Bible reading and also the subject point in the book. We would discuss the subjects and many questions would be raised.
I also wanted to incourage the ladies to do sentence prayers, as many weren't confortable praying in front of other people. They did great, even though one or two objected.
It also was a way to get into the Bible more and with each study, many points were brought up that perhaps hadn't been broached before.
I would recommend it for anyone that wasn't interested in doing lots of homework. God always brings things in our lives to light that maybe we wouln't have reviewed by ourselves.
Stormie has done a great job, covering many aspects in our Christian walk.

EXCEPTONAL!!! Both the devotion and prayer are so rich and meaningful. It is amazing to me how the short prayers at the end of each devotional are so true and appropriate to my need(s)right then. I gave this as a Christmas gift last year and am about to order again for this year. This is by far my favorite!

My husband & I have skimmed through some of this devotional but haven't really started it yet because we're doing the CS Lewis readings right now. It looks like a good, Biblical devotional that will be a blessing to our evening prayer time when that time comes.

I cannot do without this spiritual treasure. It is simply awe inspiring. I would recommend this wonderful book to everyone. Ms. Omartian, could you please pen a similar book on the "PSALMS" ONLY? People like me would appreciate it tremendously. Thank you.
