The history presented in the Archeological Bible is fascinating. It fills in blanks about events in world history and validates the accuracy of God's inspired Word. Presonally, I am not a fan of the NIV and would like to see something similar in the NKJ or NASB.

Love it! Caution though - there is so much to read, it slows you down. Prior to a Bible study this fall, I am reading the Old Testament through this summer. This Bible contains significant reading about the early history of mankind and the archeological findings from that era.

This is my favorite Bible by far. It is so beautiful with all the photos and I really like the archeology info. The only thing is it is heavy but it is understandable because it has info that other Bibles don't.

I was very surprised by the vast quantity of material presented in this Bible. The material is also presented on the same pages where the biblical text is pertinent to the subject at hand. Therefore, there is very little back and forth page turning.It's more than I anticipated which makes it a very satisfying purchase.At 2300+ pages and 4.5 pounds don't plan on hauling it everywhere with you!

This bible is so beautiful and packed full of incredible information on so many topics related to the Holy Scriptures that I really don't know how to review it and do it justice. It really is like having a handbook, manners and customs, and other reference material all in one. The best bible I have ever purchased!!

I love this Bible. It makes the word of God come alive with all the historical information. The aged look of the pages and the color pictures just make it even more fascinating. I looked for a Bible for over a month before settling on this one and I would recommend it to anyone who likes learning about the historical and cultural context of biblical times.
