NavPress 1 Samuel, LifeChange Bible Study Series

Christians have a lifelong goal: To become like Christ. This involves change, and change isn't always easy. But the more you know of God's purposes for you, the more you can experience His joy and participate in His plan. Learn about three men: Samuel, the prophet who directs Israel's transition from judgeship to monarchy; Saul, the first king, who epitomizes what God doesn't want in a leader; and David, the man after God's own heart. These men remain perfect examples of godliness - and half-hearted commitment - for Christians today. Leaders guide is included within book. This is the fourth title that we have used in this series. Our adult Bible Study group is challenged by the text and already planning for the next study. What we like best is that there are challenges for the mature Bible student and information for the novice. Also, Christianbook.com has the best prices.

We started using I Samuel with one of our bible study groups and are really enjoying the depth to the study. It isn't for the faint of heart. One would need time to read and digest God's Word and truly want to grow when undertaking this study. I would also suggest doing it with a group to be able to engage in discussion to further the experience.
