Hachette Book Group It's More Than The Music (slightly imperfect)

While he was growing up in rural Alexandria, Indiana, Bill Gaither aspired to become a gospel singer. But when he began teaching high school English after graduating from college, his dream was put on hold---temporarily. It's More Than the Music reveals the triumphs and tragedies of Gaither's life, and traces God's blessings throughout his phenomenally successful career as a songwriter and performer. Co-written by Ken Abraham. 304 pages, softcover, Warner Faith.

Please note: This closeout is a new book but has been labeled "Slightly Imperfect" due to slight markings from the publisher and/or stickers showing its discounted price.

It's not the typical whole life story of the subject, nor is it a tell-all or a mear chronology. It's main focus is on how Gaither got into music. The background/historical detail given is always related to the musical moment he is describing at the time, which made it very interesting and easy to relate to.
