Suffering happens - to all of us at one time or another. But knowing that doesn't always make it any easier to understand. Making-sense-out-of-suffering Therapy gives insights into the "why" as well as the "how" of suffering. It recognizes that suffering affects us body, mind, and spirit and offers wise advice for healing the whole person. Though we can't choose not to suffer, we can choose a loving response. This book points the way.

Great Little Book

I received this book as a gift years ago when my own father passed away. I began using it professionally as a hospice chaplain and found it to be very helpful to my patients and their families. It is easy for a hurting person to handle, not too technical or overwhelming to read. The bite size nuggets of truth speak to the heart. I see families sharing the book with their children as well. If you know someone who is grieving this is a great book to help them through a very difficult time. I keep a supply on hand to share with my patients and their families. It is a must have for professionals in bereavement, hospice, crisis or brief therapy, spiritual care or pastoral care. Order a few copies as you will see how immediately responsive hurting people are to this book.
