This album is good, but not one of my favorites. I'm not sure why, but it just isn't.
"It Happened at Four Corners" is an episode that I like the least.
However, I do like "Gone . . .", "But Not Forgotten", "The Fundamentals", "A Book by Its Cover" and "The Election Deception".
Still a very good album.

I have all of the Adventure in Odyssey series and the older ones, I'm replacing cassettes with cds. These are awesome lessons for children and adults. I brought them for my children and will pass them down to my grandchildren.

My three children (age 10-14 years) always enjoy when Bernard and Eugene are together. Good laughs and lessons.

This album is absolutely perfect. It has a great variety of humorous, emotional, suspenseful, and just plain engaging stories. It is extremely significant in the Adventures in Odyssey series and definitely deserves a place in any fan's collection. The episode begins with a six-part story arc covering Eugene and Bernard's road trip. "First-Hand Experience" is a fun way to kick off the trip, but, unfortunately, my CD for it is scratched. "Second Thoughts" and "Third Degree" continue the trip, and are pretty good episodes, although they don't stand out as much as other great ones here. "It Happened at Four Corners" has a simple yet entertaining story with a shocking ending, and "The Fifth House on the Left" is an adventurous episode with a powerful ending. The next two teary-eyed episodes, "Gone . . ." and ". . . But Not Forgotten", feature Whit's departure as he leaves Odyssey. These episodes excell in every aspect and still get to me every time I hear them. Very notable scenes include Eugene reading the letter from Whit saying goodbye and Connie's talk with Scrubb. The next three episodes are all entertaining "slice of life" episodes. Only "The Fundamentals" was a little weak, but it was still good. "A Book by Its Cover" and "The Election Deception" both held my interest and kept it, something episodes like these usually fail to do. "The Election Deception" lets you figure out the small clues and follow the mystery along with the characters, and "A Book by Its Cover" is notable for its several small aspects (Eugene and Katrina's interesting little word game, information about Katrina's family, etc.) that make it excellent. Finally, "The Twilife Zone" is a perfect way to present the dangers of addictions to children. It is very light and funny, but still carries a direct final message. On the overall, this is album is just plain great, probably second only to "Darkness before Dawn", my personal favorite.
