The black rope like part of the necklace seems to be "wearing" already in a couple of spots so am not sure how long it will hold up. However, my son loves the looks of the necklace and wears it every day.

Just make sure you tighten the cross onto the necklace to make sure it's on securely...my son wore it the first day and the cross fell off. He was very upset, because he loved the necklace. I ordered another one to replace it, and will make sure the cross is on tight!

I first bought this necklace for my son for Christmas and he loved it. He lost it in the hockey arena and was very upset. I was so satisfied with the quality, look and price of the neckless that I ordered him another one to replace it. He wears it every day and won't take it off. He is a fussy active almost-11-year old. The necklace is just the right length that it doesn't interfere with his active life style - he plays basketball and hockey. It is sturdy and well made. It looks great on him.
