Our company, along with our church and our school raised funds to purchase 790 of these books along with sweet little teddy bears to give to each of the children from ages K-6th grade in the town of West, Texas after they recently experienced such devastation in their town from the explosion of a fertilizer plant. The town looks as if it was ravaged by a tornado! These children have been experiencing much anxiety and fear moving forward and I am sure many of the adults have as well. These books are fantastic. They assure the reader that bad things happen as just a part of life and we lean on one another to get through difficult times. The book reminds us that God is with us in the Good times and the Bad times every step of the way. The book also talks about forgiveness and why forgiving is so important. I also sent the book to my niece and nephews to cope with the recent paralysis of their dad, my brother, after back surgery. I believe sometimes "when bad things happen", adults have such a hard time with the situation that it is hard for them to know how to help the little ones cope. This book gives adults, parents, grandparents, teachers and caregivers etc. a great tool to help the children move forward in a positive manner and in turn I think it just may help the adults as well.
